I dug around the blackhole of my closet to find my CPH that was almost finished for last year's trip. It needs seaming & a zipper to be complete. That's the first sweater. For the second, I pulled out my Berrocco booklet #279, the yarn from my stash, and made a gauge swatch for the Ursa jacket. I'm usuing Ultra Alpaca Light in the Fern colorway. Here's the thing. I bought this on sale at Christmas time with Deb. We both looked at the pattern & thought I had purchased the correct yarn. Turns out that it called for Ultra Alpaca, not the Light. I guess I had had a brain glitch then. I did get gauge on smaller needles than the pattern calls for so I'm going for it (3" on back done as we type.) Only thing is, the pattern called for 7 hanks of the thicker yarn, I bought 7 hanks of the thinner thinking I had the right yarn, & just realized that the yardage is way different. I'll need 3 to 4 more hanks. I had purchased the last supply from my lys in December so I'll have to order it online. Web's has my color, but I'll have to be careful where I use it so the dyelot difference won't be noticeable.
I'm planning on making a Foliage hat, a cowl, & the SpringtimeBandit scarf, all out of my stash. This gal is NOT going to be cold. I am preparing for the worst. I hates me some cold air, lol!
That's where I'm at for now. Taking my dd to her university orientation tomorrow thru Friday. And this Sunday will be a big Block Party for me. I've got two shawls, a scarf, & a Debbie Bliss cardigan to block. Photos & dets forthcoming.

I'm just as excited about Rhinebeck as you are!!! I can't wait to have you back up here with me. Me misses ya. I'm so glad we got everything booked now so we know it's definitely gonna happen. I have plenty of time to make 2 sweaters!!!
Yaaaay!!! Room for one more... ahem ahem, me?! Bummer about the brain burp on the yarn, maybe make something else?
Where do I start? First I want to say a huge thank you for securing the room. I am soooo excited. I too will be finishing my CPH that I was trying to complete last Rhinebeck. I have to do the two sleeves over in the next size up because they are too tight. Arrgh!! I am planning to make Springtime Bandit from some Malabrigo in my stash. I hate the cold too. Do I smell a KAL? My track record has gotten better at completing projects. Also, I second the motion for Craftivore to join us. She is cool!!
Yeah my other baby is back!! Glad you and sis are back blogging again..I so miss my DD's writings,it leaves a hole in my life without them LOL....So glad you will finally get to go to Rhinebeck. Think of me while your there, I would love to go love someday...Love Ya (aka) Mom <3
I'm so jealous! Sounds like you are going to have so much fun!
Yeah! Let the countdown begin! So what hotel are you all staying at? I might be interested in having you book me a room (Friday & Saturday night) as I've stayed with in-laws every year and might be wearing out my welcome. A double would be good (fingers crossed that Yvonne can make it again this year). Let me know how much and I will mail you a check. E-mail me with the details.
