Farewell My Friend

I had to say goodbye unexpectedly to my cat Sunny this morning. She died of a heart attack at 5:20a.m. I am grateful that Mike & I got to pet her & be there as she took her last breath. She was my knitting buddy. Always ready to cuddle up in my chair with me while I worked on the latest item. I will miss her dearly. Farewell my dear friend. I love you oodles. xoxoxo

Fall in Love

This is my baby. Kitty was sleeping with all fours in the air, but as usual, stopped being utterly cute and funny as soon as the camera came out. She was cooking the tummy in the heat of the gas logs (out of the right of the photo). She's still cute.

Here's a shrug (Drops 98-38) I'm making for my DD. It's a quicky knit...after you decipher the clear as mud instuctions. I'm having some minor brain cramps trying to understand which side the increases are supposed to be on or getting past the point that the chart starts with a purl row, but the pattern has you starting with a right-side knit row. Like what are you supposed to do with that? I am slogging through it anyway. It's really turning out adorable. It'll be an FO soon. Oh! And you know what's really awesome? I stash busted 5 yr. old Wool-Ease (Oxford Gray) for this project. Whoo-hoo!

Last, but certainly not least is a 3-Button Wrap in Lime Blue Malabrigo worsted. Dreamy! This yarn was a Christmastime purchase last year. I have big square lime colored buttons for it too.

The Last Possible FO for October

I finished Clapotis on Thursday. It took almost 3 skeins of the Berrocco Comfort yarn. It's a soft & cuddly knit that is surprisingly wearable in so many ways. I especially like it as a large scarf or wrapped circularly around my shoulders & pinned with a brooch. This will be keeping me warm in the winter days to come.
