Delores Park Cowl- modified- FO

I forgot to tell you that I made a Delores Park Cowl last Thursday afternoon. It was soooo easy. I had a partial ball of Kardiff yarn, by Filtes in a green colorway #173, leftover from a poncho I made several years back. It was no where near enough yarn so I modifiied the pattern to make it work & ended up using every last inch of it up. Yeah! I knitted 9 rows where the pattern called for 13, 3 rows in the middle instead of 4, & 6 rows instead of the 11. (If you go look at the pattern you can see where I made those changes.) It turned out cute. I will definately make a full-size one in Malabrigo for the fall. Only thing I'd change is to cast on less. I'd like it to fit just a tad closer than it does for really cold breezes. I'll post a pic tomorrow 'cause I'm too impatient to upload right now.

Oh I can't wait to see it!

You are right about the socks I was working on. I am going to step back from them for a while. I found out there is a socks boot camp on May 14th here and if I'm able to I am going to take that class. :)

Ooooo another FO! I can't wait to see it. I agree about making it a bit snugger. Hooray for you on using up the rest of that yarn!!!

BTW...you can upload pics to Flickr and then use them in your posts and then on Ravlry so you only have to upload once. I haven't done it yet though. I also figured out about adding buttons.

This cowl fever is really in the air. I think I'll have to try one myself one of these days.

I've been really liking putting my pics on Flickr. Uploading them to Flickr means they can be deleted from the hard drive. If you decide to do that I can help you figure out how to put them into blogger, it's much faster than uploading them directly to blogger and there is a greater choice in sizes. You'll like it and might even get your photo mojo back.

No one can resist the lure of the cowl! Looking forward to photos of your DPC.
