It's Prom Night here. It was an afternoon of nails, make-up & hair up-do's. It was not smooth sailing. I bought a bunch of new fangled curlers to do her hair & it was not good. They got stuck. At least 5 of them, & it was more than 30 min. to get them unstuck. She cried. I cried. We re-did the make-up. In the end, her hair was fixed & she was only a tad late to meet up with her friends. We survived the getting ready & DD is enjoying herself at the dance as we speak. I didn't make DD's dress for prom. The asian theme was cancelled when the location of prom was moved, so she decided to buy a regular dress. Sigh. She succumbed to being just like everyone else. :) Here's a couple of pics of The Girls for those that might like to see.

She looks beautiful and you survived. So glad So glad.
I love the fact that her dress is not floor length like most traditional prom dress. She is absolutely gorgeous and I hope she had a great time! There is always next year for the hand made dress.
Darn those crappy curlers! DD hair turned out great and I love the dress! You survived with sanity intact (mostly)
I'm sure the tears shed were more about growing up than the pain. She looks beautiful. It reminds me of when my mother got a round brush stuck in her hair right after marrying my step dad. He was outside pacing around wondering what had happened to his new bride and I was in the bathroom with my aunt as we were slathering peanut butter on her head trying to extract the dang brush. I can still see and smell the mess even though it's been over 25 years.
WOW she looks gorgeous! Admit it, your whole family is models!
As for the curlers, that is why I don't use them. I would get them stuck so bad I'd have to cut all my hair off to get it out. haha
